Shaped by Time, Place, and Relationships
BBC Wine Imports was built with intention, guided by the belief that wine carries memory - of the land, the seasons, and the people who tend it. From the beginning, BBC has been shaped by three close-knit brothers, where shared values, curiosity, and were learned early and carried forward together.
Growing up side-by-side, the BBC Brothers developed not only a deep appreciation for wine, but for the meaning behind it: the patience of those who cultivate the wine, the pride passed from one generation to the next, and the quiet joy of bringing communities togetehr around the table. That closeness remains at the heart of BBC today - informing every decision, every partnership, and every bottle chosen with purpose.
This path is inseparable from Francesco Bissaro himself - his beginnings, his values, and the journey that continues to shape BBC Wine Imports.

Francesco Bissaro
Francesco Bissaro was raised within a culture where wine is not introduced, but inherited - his relationship with wine was shaped from the very beginning.
Born in Italy's Soave region, between Padua, Verona, and Mantua, his earliest understanding of wine was learned by doing.
From an early age, Francesco's relationship with wine was tactile and instinctive - helping to press his family's wine, observing the rhythm of harvest, and learning the patience required to tend the vine. These early experiences shaped not only his palate, but his respect for craftsmanship and time.
That foundation later guided his path. Francesco studied hospitality in Turin, where he refined his appreciation for service, craftsmanship, and the role that wine plays in bringing communities together. He later completed a business degree in Tampa, Florida, bringing Old World sensibility with a thoughtful, modern perspective.
Francesco has always been drawn to wines shaped by intention - wines that speak quietly. His approach is guided by curiosity, patience, and respect for the hands behind each harvest. Over time, he has formed enduring relationships with family-run estates who share his belief that great wine is born through care, balance, and a deep connection to the land.
Today, Francesco remains deeply hands-on in every aspect of BBC Wine Imports. From walking vineyards and sharing meals with the growers, to supporting his partners on the floor and at the table, his work is personal and present. For Francesco, wine is not only what is poured into an elegant glass, but a continuation of memory, craft, and connection -
meant to be shared.

Between Worlds, Carried Forward
BBC Wine Imports lives between two worlds. Rooted in Italy's vineyards and shaped by Old World tradition, its work continues across the Atlantic, where those values are carried forward with care and intention. This distance is not a divide, but instead, a dialogue - one that allows heritage to travel, adapt, and remain alive at the table.
Connecting those worlds is a collective presence: returning often, listening closely, and honoring the pace at which meaningful connections unfold. Every bottle arrives in authentic fashion, shaped by place, season, and every hand behind the label.
BBC Wine Imports remains a story in motion - unfolding through seasons, conversations, and shared moments yet to come. Its continuity lives in the steady refinement of the bottle itself, guided by experience, restraint, and a devotion to allowing each chapter to arrive naturally.
